Meet Cori

Under the night sky, your mind relaxes. You are no longer the one everyone is looking to for help, you are just experiencing the embrace of the Universe. My art brings that calming feeling to the forefront, ready to surround you every time you take a moment to look at it.

Hi! It is so great to meet you, I am Cori Jackson.
I created Cojack Photography to share how the night sky can calm your soul .

My art is photography, I take my photos at nighttime, nighttime is the calm time, a calm soul is a happy soul.

It is so amazing to see what cameras can capture in the night sky that our eyes cannot see.

My Astro Photography shows some of that wonder of the Universe. What the night sky really looks like in relation to our Earthly surroundings. How we would see it if our eyes could see more. Especially through the din of light pollution.

The vastness of space, the colors, the movement of the Earth. It all works together to ground us and help us find balance in the crazy everyday that we call life.

This star therapy turns into my art, and I’m thrilled to be able to share it with you. I invite you to go outside on a clear night and look up.

Enjoy some star therapy yourself, and calm your soul.

For the last decade my energy has been spent as a support and mom to my family- husband, kid, 2 cats, and a dog. I enjoy hiking through the forest and exploring local parks with my dog, plus traveling and camping with my family as often as we get the chance. I am a crafty art lover; when I am not under the stars creating art or crafting projects with my images, I spend my free time crocheting, painting, and helping my husband with DIY house updates.

More recently, I delved into the realm of Astro Photography through The Night Photography Academy taught and mentored by Kristine Rose Photography.
This was my gateway to capturing the wonders of starlit skies. Despite the demands of family life, nights spent photographing under the stars rekindled my artistic spirit. While I've always cherished the night sky, moon, and stars, this new skillset allowed me to craft fresh art that resonated with me, igniting a desire to share it with the world.

Cori Jackson, Night Photographer.

Cori earned her photography degree at a small community college during the transition from film to digital photography in Lansing, Michigan. It was a fantastic opportunity to experience both sides of the craft. Post-college, she worked as a preschool portrait and wedding photographer near Washington, D.C. before taking a turn to focus on her family.

Cori now lives in Dayton, Ohio. She is an alumni of The Night Photography Academy with Kristine Richer of Kristine Rose Photography, where she learned about Milky Way/Astro Photography as well as business fundamentals.

Cori’s night photography work has been featured in several magazines, and admired by local parks where she seeks permission to photograph when most of the world sleeps.

Snacks are important fuel for Cori’s creative process while waiting for the star therapy to begin.
